Educators Nominate A Student – Do you know of a student that would enjoy a week in Washington with their peers, learning about the political process, and touring the sites? We are seeking nominations for sophomores, juniors and seniors in high school with at least a “B” grade point average. Please complete this form and a special invitation will be sent. Curriculum – Presidential Classroom's specially designed curriculum revolves around six distinct group activities, each challenging students to think critically and participate in lively discussions about current issues and policies. Outlook – The Presidential Classroom textbook contains original articles that supplement students’ learning experience in Washington, D.C. Each chapter is program-specific, touching on topics ranging from nuclear threats to space commerce, free press, and the legal profession. Please feel free to use Outlook as an online resource for your classroom! UVA Credit – The University of Virginia, one of the nation’s prestigious institutions of higher learning recognizes the academic and leadership excellence of Presidential Classroom students. UVA offers the opportunity to obtain college credit for participation in a Presidential Classroom program. Programs and Schedules – Presidential Classroom provides the next generation of civic leaders an extraordinary academic and leadership development experience in Washington, D.C. Choose from eight different programs that focus on current issues affecting our society today. Financial Aid – About 60 percent of PC Scholars receive financial assistance from outside the family to help meet tuition and transportation costs.
