Programs and Schedules – Presidential Classroom provides the next generation of civic leaders an honors level interactive simulation experience which develops critical thinking, problem solving and communication skills.
It also offers many opportunities for leadership roles and a stimulating dialogue with a diverse population of students from across the country and the world as well as present national leaders in DC.
Choose from eight different programs that focus on current issues affecting our society today.
Requirements – Many Presidential Classroom Scholars mark their week in Washington as a turning point in the search for their future role in society.
Application Procedure – Students can submit their application by mail or fax. You can also submit the application form online; however, Presidential Classroom requires all students submit a hard copy of their application with proper parent and principal signatures.
Tuition – Tuition for Presidential Classroom programs covers a full schedule of seminars, discussions, and cultural activities and more.
Financial Aid – About 60 percent of PC Scholars receive financial assistance from outside the family to help meet tuition and transportation costs.
Accommodations – When you arrive in Washington as a Presidential Classroom Scholar, you will live in a community of people like yourself from across the United States and around the world.
UVA Credit – The University of Virginia, one of the nation’s prestigious institutions of higher learning recognizes the academic and leadership excellence of Presidential Classroom students. UVA offers the opportunity to obtain college credit for participation in a Presidential Classroom program.

Student Handbook - The Student Handbook is sent to every registered student. It includes vital information on what you need to know before you come to PC and what we expect from our Scholars while here in Washington, D.C.
Crossfire Choices - These lively discussions are forums of about 20 students that focus on current foreign and domestic policy issues. Review the topics covered during your program session and submit your choices.
Travel Information – Students are responsible for their own travel to and from Washington, D.C. We provide transportation to the hotel from Reagan Washington National, Baltimore/Washington International and Dulles International Airports, and Union Station.
